An-Najah National University is excited to announce its participation in a groundbreaking Erasmus+ KA220-HED project focused on Generative AI in Higher Education. Collaborating with Palestine Technical University Kadoorie, we join forces with a prestigious consortium led by Danmarks Tekniske Universitet in Denmark, alongside esteemed institutions from Europe, Palestine, and Albania. Together, we aim to revolutionize assessment and feedback systems through the responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence. Our project is designed with clear objectives in mind: to create comprehensive training modules that empower educators to seamlessly integrate AI tools, develop robust evaluation instruments to assess the impact of AI in teaching, and formulate policy recommendations that ensure ethical AI practices in academia. This partnership marks a significant step for An-Najah National University as we strive to establish a thorough institutional AI policy, positioning ourselves as a leader in AI governance in the region. Palestine Technical University Kadoorie will also gain from this initiative, enhancing its digital transformation efforts and enriching the academic landscape in Palestine. Our collaborative network includes renowned partners such as Brandenburg University of Technology in Germany, Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia, and Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, among others. Through this initiative, we anticipate introducing innovative AI-driven models into our educational frameworks, equipping faculty and staff with the skills to utilize AI responsibly, and sharing valuable resources with universities across the globe. The culmination of our efforts will be showcased in an international academic conference, where we will present our findings, inspire innovation, and contribute to shaping the future of higher education.
